These pictures show two very similar, impressive Classic Oak Bookcases, built into different client’s homes. They are both made of solid Oak with Birch plywood interiors with an Oak veneer. Both have been designed with fully adjustable open shelves in the both the top sections, and the cupboards beneath. All drawers in these Classic Oak Bookcases run on full extension soft close runners. The first bookcase was designed for a study and the four large drawers in the centre section have the built-in ability to hold standard suspension files. This Study bookcase was finished with hand turned Oak Knobs.
The second bookcase was for a living area so our clients wanted more cupboard space to tidy away toys and games. This time the client chose contrasting hammered pewter knobs.
The decorative worktop edge and skirting on both these Bookcases complement the fluted pillars that produce a break front piece by stepping the centre section of this furniture forward, lifting the Bookcase with a slight air of grandeur.
